Once sprouting begins, remove the sleeves to promote green leaf development.

This seed sprouting kit is a fantastic setup for growing a good amount of sprouts at home. The large jars are a real plus, and the thoughtful design makes the sprouting process quite simple.**Pros:*** **Large 2000ml Jars are a Big Advantage:** The extra-large size of these jars is excellent. I can sprout a significant quantity of seeds in one go, which is perfect for regular consumption or a larger family.* **Well-Designed for Ventilation and Drainage:** The angled stand and the screen lids work perfectly together to ensure good airflow and efficient drainage into the collection tray. This seems crucial for preventing mold and ensuring healthy sprouts.* **Safe and Durable Materials:** The use of glass, stainless steel, and BPA-free plastic gives me confidence in the safety and longevity of the kit. The materials feel sturdy and easy to clean.* **Blackout Sleeves are Effective:** The blackout sleeves are a simple but effective way to control light exposure, and I did notice my sprouts growing longer and straighter when using them initially.* **Easy to Use – No Soil Needed:** The process is very straightforward: soak, drain, and rinse. The kit provides everything needed to get started without any messy soil.* **Good for Various Seeds:** I’ve tried mung beans and broccoli sprouts so far, and both have grown well using this kit. The design seems versatile for different types of seeds and microgreens.* **Double Jar Setup:** Having two jars allows for continuous sprouting – you can have one batch growing while you’re harvesting from the other.**Overall:**This large-size seed sprouting mason jar kit is a well-thought-out and effective system for growing sprouts at home. The large capacity jars, combined with the excellent ventilation and drainage design, make it easy to achieve successful sprouting. The use of safe and durable materials is also a big plus. If you’re looking to grow a significant amount of fresh, organic sprouts regularly, this kit is an excellent investment.

I have been sprouting and eating alfalfa seeds for many years. I would use a quart mason jar in order to sprout the seeds. This would only last me 2 or 3 days. With these huge jars I can sprout a whole week’s worth of sprouts in 4 days and I can eat as much as I want without worrying about running out quickly.I like that they come with the metal draining top, as well as a metal framework to set them on and a plastic tray to catch the excess water. They work great. I put four teaspoons of alfalfa seeds in one of the jars, filled the jar with water and let it sit for 8 hours. I then emptied the water from the jar and turned it upside down on the frame to drain. I rinsed the seeds everyday for 4 days and watched the alfalfa grow grow!.My alfalfa sprouts taste so good, they are fresh and crisp. I use them on sandwiches and salads. And the best part is they are very good for me!I like how the jars come with a cover to use to store the alfalfa sprouts in the refrigerator.

If you’re looking for a sprouting kit with large jars this is it. Each jar holds 2000ml or 68 oz it’s also marked on the side for ml and cups/pints on the opposite side. Covers fit great and are mostly easy to take on and off. I just hope the stitching will last. Plastic tray feels a little flimsy and the stand didn’t actually fit right out of the box. Had to bend the stand inward a little so it could fit.

I’m trying my own sprouts for the first time. I wish they had included instructions with the product, instead you have to go online to the sales product page to read what to do. The jars are thick like regular Mason jars, with well-fitting lids and screens. Pretty useful. The sleeves to keep light out are interesting, it makes the sprouting easy to do in a well-lit kitchen. Kind of like blanching leeks for longer white parts I guess. I am looking forward to trying my own mung bean sprouts. I bought the mung seeds in bulk and after soaking them for 6 hours as directed, I poured out the water, covered the jar with the sleeve and set it in the stand with the screen lid on.
